Malayalis can't imagine a day without coconut or its related products. Today I am here with you to share something with you in which the main ingredient is coconut. This is a sweet usually prepared during some festivals in North India but as it is so simple to prepare we can make it in our home....
Ingredients
* Freshly grated coconut - 1 cup
* Cardamom powder -1/2 teaspoon.
* Water -1/4 cup
* Sugar-1 cup
* Milk - 1/4cup
Directions
* Add waterand sugar into a thick bottomed pan to make the sugar syrup.
* Stir continuosuly while it gets heated up.
* The sugar should be of one thread consistency.
* At this stage, add the grated coconut and milk into the sugar syrup and stir continuously.
* After some time you can see that the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan due to the oil released from coconut
* Add cardamom powder.
* Remove it from flame.
* Pour it into a geased tray and allow it to cool for 2 hours.
* Before it cools completely, cut it into desired shapes.
* Store it in an airtight container and Enjoy!!!!!!!
