Mysore Pak (Sweet with besan flour)

Before trying the recipe for Mysore pak, let me share the store behind the first Mysore pak..................

Mysore Pak was first prepared in the Kitchen of the Mysore palace. The Chief Chef of Mysore palace Kakaasura Madappa combined all the ingredients in the sugar solution and prepared a new dish. When the Majesty asked the name of the dish, Madappa obiviously had no name in his mind. So he named it Mysore Paav, which means the sweet prepared in Mysore palace.....It is a sweet which is traditionally served in Indian Weddings and other festivals............Now Let's check how to prepare this dish.......                                                                                                                                            






Ingredients

* 2 cups of besan flour

* 4 cups of sugar

* 2 cups of ghee

* 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder

* 1 cup of water



Let's get started.
* First heat  a little ghee in a frying pan.

* Roast the besan flour in the ghee till a nice aroma comes out.

* Remove it from flame.

* Heat the sugar and water in a pan till it reaches one string consistency.

* Add the roasted besan flour into the sugar syrup, stirring continuously so that no lumps are
  formed.

* Mix it well till everything blends up together.

* Add the melted ghee into it and mix it well.

* Cook it in a low flame till the mixture is frothy and the ghee separates.

* Remove it from flame and spread it in a greased tray.

* Allow it to cool completely and when it is half done, cut it into desired shapes.

* Allow it to cool completely. 

* Tasty Mysore Pak is ready to serve.........Enjoy and have fun..........
